Dressing To Disturb

Hey there guys!
Are you ready for Halloween? I know I am. I've been drenching old tshirts, hoodies and jeans in dirt and fake blood to get that thoroughly zombified look. Though, in the process of doing it I got more mud on me than on the actual costume, which I previously thought would have been impossible...

Anyway, today I've taken three 'traditional' outfits and bumped up the style factor. Tell me what you think in the comments, what's your favourite?

Enjoy!

ring: Topshop
coat: Topshop
leggings: New Look
scrunchie: New Look
tshirt: Asos
bag: Asos
shoes: New Look
For a skeleton, I could only imagine wearing metallic pieces and gold and silver accessories. Thats why I love the shoes and the coat for this outfit. The sandles almost look like ribs in their shape, plus they're so shiny and space-age while the coat has a gorgeous geometric print that is subtle but combines well the leathered leggings and the shirt.

choker: Asos
skirt: New Look
gloves: Asos
ring: Asos
top: Beyond Retro
purse: Asos (similar)
boots: Topshop
earings: Asos
lipstick: Topshop
It had to be dark lace and deep reds for a vampiric outfit, so I took inspiration from the lovely lady herself, Morticia Addams, who always wears inky velvets, long skirts and large rings which just scream vampire vibes.  The lipstick is also perfect - you cant have a vampire costume without dark red lips! I'd also recommended a very strong cheek bone if you were doing this look, so think Angelina Jolie's Maleficent (although maybe not that sharp!)

bomber: Topshop
choker: Etsy
shoes: Asos
nail paint: Barry M
dress: New Look
rucksack: Asos
socks; Topshop
devil kit: Beyond Retro
This on had to be cuter, which is why I've incorporated this gorgeous monster devil bag from Asos which caught me eye in one of the Asos stylists posts. I also noticed that in a lot of devil costumes there are red roses, so the skull and rose choker necklace hits the nail on the head. And the most brilliant thing out of all of this, is that Beyond retro have a full devil kit why is so awesome!

Space Invaders

Hat: Missguided
Bracelets: Asos & Etsy
Dress: New Look
Choker: Cut the Cord
Nail polish: Essie
Shoes: Asos
Coat: New Look
Other people go outside? Pffff not me.

I've literally been watching series marathons of Supernatural over the course of a few months now and I have finally caught up to where I should be. It's been quite an emotional experience watching over 9 years of episodes over the course of 9 weeks. Its kinda crazy really... But of course I needed something to get over the loss of my favourite book series ending.

(*cough* I think my geek is leaking through. Anyone got any bandages?)

What I Love About Autumn | Tag

This tag is from the lovely Temporary Secretary and the topic is of course, Autumn. I've always loved Autumn, what with the gorgeous leaves, the looming presence of Halloween and the fact that we can all officially wear scarves, woolly hats and jumpers without A, being judged and B, overheating and ending up looking like a tomato. (This has happened, no lie.) It's generally a pretty damn good season overall. But anyway, on with the questions!

What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
My all time favourite Starbucks drink is a Vanilla latte (mmm...). But I don't actually understand the hype about the pumpkin spice latte. It's definitely not what its cracked up to be.

What accessories do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?
I generally swathe myself in all three, but I'd probably say I love my scarves the most. I have so many that its getting kinda ridiculous... The problem is that you never really can throw them out so unless you donate a load of them, they just become a giant fluffy stack in the corner of your room.

What's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
Ack. This is the worst question to ask me because my favourite songs change almost weekly. Right now I'm listening to stereotypically teenager-y grungy bands like MCR, Good Charlotte and Green Day....

What's your favourite perfume for this time of year?
I don't have a perfume that I stick to seasonally, but I do wear a vanilla scented one that makes me smell like an actual cupcake :)

What candle scents will you be burning this season?
I don't own any candles, but I do know that my favourite scents are either cinnamon and gingerbread. Ahhh... they're just lovely,..

What do you love most about Autumn?
I love going out on my bike down the footpath near where I live and seeing the gorgeous golds, oranges and reds of the leaves. They're so beautiful, it makes me feel like I'm in a perfect disney movie.

Favourite make up look?
Never really been a make up person myself, I often just stick to a  natural look!

What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
I'm looking forward to my birthday haha!

Thanks for reading guys! Feel free to do this tag, I nominate you all!

Snake Occasion

rings: 1/2/3
skirt: New Look
bomber: Topshop
boots: Topshop
tights: New Look
Hey guys!

Went to Curvar Edge last weekend which was AMAZING. The photo quality isn't great, but below are some of the photos I took with my phone. (I left my camera at home asdfihofdskjf)
The drops on the cliffs were just crazy, and there was a vast amount of mist covering the entirety of the area below, so standing on the edge of those rocks... was like standing over the abyss. It was amazing. I totally suggest going there. It was also the perfect weather because it wasn't even windy or even rainy for once (hallelujah!) and all the leaves were just turning a gorgeous hue of gold. It couldn't have been more perfect.

Kicking Leaves

1/2/3/4//5/6/7/8/9

One of the best (and the worst) things about Autumn is the fact that it rains ALL THE TIME. I mean, who doesn't love the sound of it?  And it gives you the god-given right to bundle yourself up in scarves and jumpers and coats. Only downside is, is that my hair fluffs up like a poodle every time I spend 0.0009999 seconds in it without an umbrella. *sigh* It's honestly the most frustrating thing ever. It makes me want to hide inside my bedroom and hibernate until Spring.

So with all this rain, its almost without doubt that you will pull on a killer pair of boots. And here are my beauties that I found out on the internet. I tried to find as many as I could that weren't real leather but I failed and now I feel pretty bad. If any of you could suggest some brands that don't use leather that would be fab :)

Anyways, tell me what you think of these in the comments. My personal favourites are the green Chelsea boots and the burgundy lace up ones. They both kinda remind of Christmas somehow though! I think I'm getting ahead of myself season wise...

Skipping Stones

1/2/3/4/5/6/7

I cannot believe they already have Christmas themed stuff in shops already. What. The. Major. Hell. Do they not realise that the best holiday is months before that?! Excuse me, but, HALLOWEEN PEOPLE!! It's the best! Better costumes, better candy, and pumpkin flavoured everything! What's not to like?

*rant over*

So anyway, clothes. I love this grungey, tumblr-y look that I have seen literally everywhere so I thought I'd do my own version of it. I really like the tassled bag which gives a nice 80s vibe. I also love the smock dress which I've had my eye on for a while now. Ditto the shoes. God I love those shoes.

This is just going to become an I-love-everything-here post if I carry on like this.

In other news, I'm going to be going to Clothes Show live in Birmingham in December which will be soooo awesome! Can't wait!
