So Hot: Duster Coats

Let me say it, the weather is impossibly unreliable at the moment, and when moments similar to this arise, a fashion masterpiece will need to be bought. It just so happens that in our bipolar forecast the Duster Coat has been brought back from the dead, and let me tell you, I. AM. LOVING. IT.

Those above are my absolute favourites.  In particular, I really love the one on the far left, mainly because it, A. Will go with pretty much anything, and B. Who the hell doesn't like geometric print right now?

*Note: If I do wear it in a tiled bathroom I will probably match the walls and walk out red faced*

I also really quite like the centre coat as it looks quite floaty and almost as if you found it in your Grandma's closet and was like "Hey this is cool" and permanently borrowed it. I can't be the only one who has done this. It counts as vintage, right?

#OOTD Funfair Day

Hiya there!

I'm in the kind of mood when I just want to where everything adorable- CutiePieMarzia style. So while browsing the web I saw the carousel necklace you see before your eyes right this second and I was like OMG I MUST OWN THIS GLORIOUS PIECE OF METAL. So yeah. I did indeed buy it and it now hangs proudly on my neck, looking lovely/clashing with every outfit I decide to wear. It looks fabulous, trust me.

Also these shoes, oh goddamn, these shoes are beautiful and I really want them. The colour is really cute and I'm pretty sure I could pull them off for 3/4 seasons. And the jacket is kind of dirty, varsity looking and would great over any of my smock dresses.

#OOTD Coordinated Colour

Hey there guys!

Ever since Ellie did that thing on the co-ords I have been obsessing over the Ark beauties. Ever been in that situation when you have, like, 30 items in your basket and you only have money for 1? I can't be alone here. Someone? Anyone?

*sigh*

This outfit is basically the embodiment of what my idea of Summer is. Bright sunglasses? Check. Heeled white shoes? Check. Pink Duster coat? OMG YES GIMMEE. Sidenote: I have no idea what the thing is with duster coats. Why the hell are they so appealing? Weird...
Anyway, I think this outfit is stylish but also cute due to the co-ords and the bold glasses. The pink duster coat is also really on trend and will stand out so much.

The Custard Factory

 It's quite rare that I get the chance to go up to Birmingham, even more so to visit my favourite vintage utopia: 'The Custard Factory'.  The stuff there is so high quality and goddamn gorgeous that I wish every time that I had a bottomless bank account because then I would buy the whole complex. And don't even get me started on the street art! It's like, the best place to go to get inspiration on... well, anything!

I highly suggest you go there, reader. Yes you! It's hands down one of the best places to go to on the planet and I'm 99.999% sure you will fangirl about it as much as I do. If you don't, well, nevermind. I will ignore your terrible taste in shops. (Just kidding! I love you really! but still...)

Sidenote: This was meant to be a review. I failed... oops!

And to end this post, I just want to say that we have managed to write 100 posts! I've super happy and fairly proud of myself that I managed to actually get this far without giving up. So thanks for reading my rambling posts and sticking around! It means a lot :)

The Summer Tag

Hello my lovelies!

It's vaguely warm! Unimaginable joy!
Do you realise who awesome it is to actually have the need to get the fan out of the attic and put it permanently in your room? Its amazing! *deep sigh of content* I might finally get the chance to wear a summery dress as well! Oh this is just bliss...


Moving on to the tag. I never get tagged (goddamnit it) so I just decided to do one anyway for the sure heck of it. I'm such a rebel. I know. Bask in my rebellious-ness.

1.What's your favorite summer nail polish?
I don't have a specific brand, but for Summer I'm mostly sticking with my pastel-y colours (so original) because I can pair them with everything.

2.What is your favourite lip colour this summer?
It's very rare to see me wearing anything on my lips but if I had to choose one it would most likely be a pink-y colour. There's no specific brand just anything like that really suits me.

3.What is your favourite summer accessory?

I've recently ordered another pair of cat eye sunglasses from Asos. They're so awesome! I love the shape of them and they look so cute and vintage.

 

4.What summer trends are you most excited about this year?

White. All out white is so classy and chic. Only problem is the fact that I am one of the messiest human beings currently residing on planet Earth. True story. But if I wasn't such a scruffy person then I would wear rock that look.

 

5.What is your favourite body spray and perfume?

My favourite perfume right now would have to be Ted Baker: Polly. I got it for Christmas last year and I am loving it! It smells kind of musky but fruity and isn't totally overpowering.

6.What is the weather like where you live in the summer?
I live slap bang in the middle of England so you can probably imagine my forecast. However right now I'm outside and its quite warm (but not hot) so I won't insult our climate too much. I would love some proper tanning sunshine though...

7.What is your favourite thing about the summer?
What I love best about Summer is mainly focused around where I live. Without giving away too much detail, I'm going to say that I live just on the edge of a footpath that goes right through all the fields and woodland in the area. And let me tell you, when the sun is either rising or setting, it is so beautiful. Especially in Summer. All the wildlife comes out then. The rabbits are moving around more - you could be about a foot away and they won't even budge and the birds are just a constant hum all around you.

I think that was quite poetic for me.

*sheds a tear*

8.Any plans for the Summer holiday?
I have actually! My mum and I are going to be visiting Berlin! There will most definitely be photos n' stuff on this dear old blog of mine that you can look at and go "Hey this looks pretty damn awesome! I want to go there." And I might also get to practise some of my terrible German skills! Yay!

Just Life

So Hot: Backpacks

BACKPACKS. BACKPACKS EVERYWHERE.

Ahhh, the backpack has returned to grace our shoulders with poise and femininity  pain and sores. If you made a confused face at that statement then you clearly have no idea how much stuff I shove into my bag. If I could, I would probably cram an anvil in it. No joke.

Nevertheless, I do indeed love the backpack. I especially love the styles Asos have at the moment. Ditto urban outfitters. They have some great patterns, my favourite ones being top center, bottom center and bottom right. I also really love the ones with a single colour. The white backpack is bang  on trend for Summer and the yellow one can brighten up any outfit!

The Earth Without Art

Hey there lovely people

Been looking pretty much everywhere for art inspiration this week and, of course, tumblr was the first place I searched. Mainly, the graffiti section. I mean seriously, the amount of inspirational jargon on that page is really overwhelming, but then again so is the artwork. I could never be able to do anything near the stuff these guys do.

#OOTD Has Summer begun?! Can I stop waiting?!

Hiya lovelies!
The (finally) warm weather has inspired me to find some lovely co-ords and these absolutely gorgeous beauties are from Ark. The ditzy floral-y pattern is really awesome for Summer and if you throw in some freakin' awesome daisy shades you got the whole shebang. *sigh* I'm practically drowning in sunshine. Also, electric blue? Yes! Bright Aztec festival colours are going to be in this SS14. (Get me sounding all fashionista-y!) Oh and of course I'm still dragging out rocking the jelly shoes. Can't ever change that.
