Fairly Whimsical Summer

Heya guys!

Today, we're heading into more festival-y type clothes. Yes, we're completely ignoring heat suitable attire and heading straight for the mom jeans (which I love) and the boho-chic flowery kimono. We shall also embrace the feathered fedora with as much affection as the cat hat.

(Because lets be honest, who didn't love the cat hat? Y'know the thing I'm talking about right?)

I just LOVE this outfit. Its really floaty and whimsical but also kind of cool because whenever you put awesome shades on and that hat you instantly look like you've walked out of a vogue magazine. It just radiates style and glamour for the Summer to Autumn months but it also looks comfortable and relaxed at the same time.

Tell me what you think in the comments!

P.S I'm now a vegetarian! Yay! I literally couldn't be happier right now :) It was a really big decision for me and I'm super proud of myself .

Eat my Shorts

top (left to right) : Topshop, New Look, Topshop
middle: Miss Selfridge, Lazy Oaf, Joy the Store
bottom: Topshop, Shopstyle, New Look
Ahhhh.... warmth at last. If I'm ridiculously lucky, I might even get a tan. But that seems a little far fetched for my pale-as-frickin-snow skin.

Hello my lovelies! I am here to give you ALL the shorts. I couldn't manage to find a single pair today while out shopping that were A, long enough to give complete coverage of my butt, and B, versatile and comfy. *sigh*

So here are my beauties, hand picked from the depths of the internet. Tell me your favourites in the comments! I personally love the pair in the top left hand corner and bottom right and centre. The cargo/crocodile print shorts will really stand out and can possibly be worn in warmer Autumnal months. I also really like the very centre pair as they are super cute and ditzy with the little flower emblems.

Loving Retro

Heya guys!

OH. MY GOD. School is finally over! No longer do I have to get up at 7am and attempt to put on eyeliner in a straight line. I don't even have to leg it out the door so I can catch the bus by a millisecond. (Trust me, I look like a maniac when I do this: One piece of toast in my left hand, 3 schoolbags in the other. Ack.)

So of course, this means I'll be catching up on blogging again. I haven't been able to do it simply because there has been zero fashion thoughts in my head due to my lovely teachers who think IT'S  ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS to make us do all our essays and assessments a week before term ends. Thanks guys. Massive thumbs up to you.

Thanks for being so patient. I really appreciate it

MH17

Let me say it. This is not a fashion related post. But I really need to vent about this.

MH17

I'm not an emotional person. I'm not one to cry and I'm definitely not one to start shouting and screeching out of anguish. But this is too disgusting. The person who did this is worse than a murderer. That person is poison. That horrific, disgusting, cruel, heartless, selfish human being has destroyed 298 lives, 80 of them children. Those fallen people did not give a damn about some petty war between countries hundreds and thousands of miles away from them. All they wanted was to come home to their awaiting families, to hug them and then to leave with them, happy and safe. Others were anticipating an important meeting about the cure for AIDS. Liam Sweeney and John Newcastle, 2 guys who lived a mere 2 hours drive from me were murdered.

What's more, they were all innocent bystanders. Every. Single. One.

I understand the world is not fair. It's far from perfect. But this is too much, too brutal. I can only hope that the dead didn't feel much pain when they were viciously taken from this world.

RIP you poor, beautiful people. And my love, sympathy and empathy to the families of the people who are gone.

#OOTD Beauty in Baby Blue

Hey there guys

I hope you're having a great Monday! It's been super duper tiring for me lately so I didn't post anything. I know that's a lame excuse and I shouldn't abandon my little blog but honestly, there was ZERO ideas in my head.

Ack. Bloggers Block + Tiredness = Miserable Strawberry

But anyway, this outfit is stolen hugely inspired by something I saw on New Look. I'm still really liking the pastel colours that are lingering from early spring and the monochrome chic is just gorgeous. I do feel however that trends are edging towards the American varsity style with a combo of floaty boho-esque types. I think SA14 is gonna be freakin' fabulous!

Review of Vintage to a Tea

I am so sorry for the long wait guys. I've had a lot of stuff going on, ie: a raging stomach bug and a wedding. I just couldn't manage to wedge blogging in. Sorry!

But anyway, recently my Mum told me that she had seen a new a couple of new vintage stores around Nottingham and asked if I wanted to have a nosie.

You can probably guess my reaction.

Vintage to a tea is a vanilla vintage store. Its way better organised than more shops as it has all the clothes divided into 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Hallelujah! (Once you've been into dozens of vintage stores its almost a miracle when you find a phenomenon such as this).

The style is purist. Its evident that the owner of the shop takes a long time choosing her stock, and boy, does she do it well. The only thing I would fault it on is the price. On a fairly gorgeous pair of sunglasses, the asking cost was £58! I felt exactly the same as when you see an awesome dress in Urban Outfitters and then you look at the tag and sigh with discontent. Its the most depressing thing in the world.

More on the owner though. She was a lovely, exuberant lady and was a great help. I think what made her good was her willingness to find an outfit for each person who came in. You never see that! Its great!

Overall I really loved this shop. However I don't think the owner anticipated someone as young as  wanting to buy her clothes. I think that's why the price was so well out of my range - along with the fact that it was such high quality vintage.

I think I might need to start saving again...
