The First Year

Hey my lovelies!

Hard to believe that it has been a year - A YEAR - since I first started blogging. I'm actually very proud of myself for getting this far! I didn't think that this little blog would actually become known  or that people would actually read it. Needless to say, I'm especially proud of how pretty it looks.

(But in my opinion, I think it needs more cat pictures. Just sayin')

So thank you, guys, for sticking around. It means the world. And congrats to me, for actually writing the posts and for learning photoshop  figuring out what all the little buttons do in photoshop.

See ya for another year guys

The Hardest Alleyway to Find

Been neglecting my camera recently so I thought I'd go out to one of my favourite vintage-y type side streets and take a few snaps. Very essence of Berlin I think, especially with the whole metallic, dirty buildings, industrial-esque type beauty. There's also a few totally adorable boutiques that you should check out if you're ever passing by, though, let me tell you, the amount of times I have walked by without realising that I'd gone past where I'd wanted to go. *cringe*. But honestly, its the best place to go if you love all that rainbow graffitti type stuff and fairy lights. There are so many fairy lights wrapped around bannisters its unbelievable. Like really. Its ridiculous.

Oh and another note, my Mum said something that I thought was really funny and very true. She said that every single one of the teenagers inside Urban Outfitters had a surreal expression on their face, like they had just walked into somewhere holy. Which was so true! UO is like some kind of church of the awesome-ly dressed and stupidly overpriced. (£12 triangle necklace anyone?!). I now can't stop thinking about that when I'm in there. Its just so funny. Everyone looks like the clothes are made of something truly delicate and should be handled with the utmost care. Its brilliant, it really is.

#OOTD Watching the world...

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8
Hey guys!

Sorry for the absent post on Friday. I'm trying so hard to shift this friggin' bloggers block. Ugh, I've also recently become obsessed with Supernatural (I know. I'm a bit late to the party...) So I'm trying to watch ALL 9 SEASONS before season 10 comes out this October. Wow my life is so fun and interesting.

 Back to the outfit.

Can I just say that I really want pink hair? I'm waaaay to scared to do it though because I love my natural colour but I also really want to experiment. I dunno. I'm well jealous of the whole crazy hair colours thing. And that tee, omigod that beauty has been on my wishlist for ages now. It's so awesome but the online store keeps running out of them to sell! It is honestly the most infuriating thing ever.

Tell me what you think in the comments :)

#OOTD Chilling in the Highlands

1/2/3/4/5/6

Showing my Scottish respect with a tartan skirt today. I know. Wow. So rad.

So, I was in Nottingham this weekend, and there was a GIANT PAIR OF LUNGS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MARKET SQUARE. Y'know. The usual. So I went up to it and wandered around a bit and whaddya know, I am now a donor. Yeah, literally all of me is going to be given to someone else if I kick the bucket. I think that's pretty awesome if you ask me. :)

Anyway, I've still got bloggers block but I'm going to be going to London soon so that will be great! I can't wait! We're going to be going to Kew Gardens, Brick Lane (squeeee!) and the Gallery.

My blog needed pretty...

 Hey guys!

I am utterly lacking in any kind of inspiration at the moment. I think its mostly because of the general stress of school and other assorted personal things. I really don't want to seem like I'm being whiney though! Trust me, just give me a little time and I think all my bloggery wonderfulness will come back to me.

Thanks for being so lovely :)

So Hot: The White Shirt (styled 3 ways)

1/2/3/4/5/6
This is the ultimate shopping outfit! I love the denim skirt combined with the awesome cosiness of the khaki bomber jacket. And the padded boots are just gorgeous. They are totally on my Christmas list...
1/2/3/4/5/6
To me, this is a fairly relaxed, but stylish kind of outfit. It reminds me of those cheesy american movies where the characters all have perms and hang out at bowling alleys. The pizza necklace is a perfect example of this, ditto the skin tight leggings (with added tartan for Autumn!) And, of course the amazing denim jacket which is soooo chic.
1/2/3/4/5/6/7
Out of the three, this is the most girly and cute. I'm sure you recognise the playsuit (of course you do) and the adorable hummingbird watch. But I love the metallic sandles and the vintage dusty floral jacket. They're just beautiful.

Tell me what you think! How would you style the white shirt? Tell me in the comments!

Victorian Grunge

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8

Being back at school sucks. There's the early mornings, the actual paying attention to stuff, the new classes, and the ridiculously hard rooms to find. The list goes on. And to top it all off, I'm now in year 9, so it all gets hella serious with teachers.

Ugh.

But enough with the negative. (No one wants that) Lets talk about outfits and clothes and Autumn! Lovely, lovely Autumn. My favourite season. Why? Well... maybe because my birthday is slap-bang in the middle of it, but it's also all about the layering and the general grunge vibe that emanates from every corner of people's wardrobe. You can also just about get away with scarves and gloves.

So with this outfit I tried to incorporate everything I love about the season. You have the gorgeous creepers, which despite their menacing name are literally the cutest things ever, the long shirt dress which is fairly modest but is a staple in any outfit. There's also the choker, which my friend from school showed me and I was like I love it but ohmigod I could never wear that. It takes a certain amount of confidence to wear a choker - confidence I don't yet have. But maybe you can! Tell me how you feel about chokers below! (I'd like to see if I'm not the only one).

Berlin

Jewish memorial 'maze'

the birds were so goddamn fat there!
stickers EVERYWHERE

the glass dome

tofu burgers at the converted toilet shack!

Hey guys,
Berlin was amazing! It was so beautiful in an 'urban' kind of way. Stickers and graffiti covered literally everything. It was basically my room, but on an industrial scale. On one lamppost someone had cut down through the centre of thousands of flies which had been stuck on top of each other for years. You could stick your arm into the hole and still not touch the metal! And the graffiti was just... so beautiful and just unbelievably creative. I wish I could draw like some of those guys could.

Also, get this, we all imagine Germany as the stereotypical meat-everywhere-not-a-veggie-place-in-sight right? Nope! There were just streets of vegan/vegetarian places all around the city which was awesome! (Not to mention delicious..)

I totally suggest going there. It was hands down, one of my favourite cities in the world. (in a close tie with Tokyo. Tokyo was beyond anything I've ever seen.)

See ya soon guys!
