How I style: Tartan

I'm in love with tartan this season but it's ridiculously hard not to come off looking like a lumberjack. I've  scoured the ocean of danger and wonder(the web) looking for a few items that will go with my green tartan shirt (cowvintage) Here are my beauties!

• Lace skirt - gives a more flowerly feel to the tartan making it look less like a grumpy emo teenager
• Purple velvet shirt - Omigerd this material feels so nice! I'd sleep on this if I coul- Oh yeah and it looks nice too.
• Grey jeans -Bit more masculine. Found a picture of Taylor Swift wearing them. This ones are a more formal look.

Hi there. Well done for finding this very conspicious post. Im Maddy and this is my blog. I guess this is sort of a fashion blog. Let me tell you a little bit about le moi;
-im from Nottingham, UK
-My style is sort of a mix of vintagey/charityshop/kawaii/generally a bit oddish
